Patient FAQs

  • No results on day of test?

No, sorry. No results or advice will be given during your visit to CardioLabs. While you are present, we perform the test and then you are free to go. The data is then carefully measured and analysed. This is then reviewed by a Cardiologist who summarises findings and adds treatment guidance and if any other tests are suggested.

Anything urgent will be acted on immediately and the appropriate action taken.

  • How long till I get my results?

Not long! We adhere to our principles of rapid result processing. We aim to get results back to GP within 72hrs of test. For any reasons this will not be met, we will communicate this to the patient and referrer.

For the first half of 2022, nearly 90% of echocardiogram tests are back to referring GP within 24hrs of completing the test. Holter monitoring results are processed and reported within 48hrs of the return of the equipment.

  • Do I have to make an appointment?

Yes. We run effective scheduled clinics with specific test timings. This allows the maximum efficiency and flexibility. We aim to have no wait list and of course, if you have urgent requirements we will endeavour to help.
